I'm a stone cold happy camper when I'm hiking on Bitch Mountain, New York
BITCH MOUNTAIN, NEW YORK
Elevation: 2,615 feet
Bitch Mountain is a peak in the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York, near the Quebec border. It is the 424th highest summit in the state. You would think with its braggable name, Bitch Mountain would have a fairly large presence online and in pop culture. Um, nope. There’s not even a campy horror movie or hipster soap called Bitch Mountain.
(Un)official Bitch Mountain Complaint: “This hike is a real bitch.”

Everyone should go to Hell, Michigan
HELL, MICHIGAN
Population: 72
Settled in 1838 by George Reeves, he was asked what he thought the town should be named. “I don’t care,” Reeves responded. “You can name it ‘Hell’ if you want.” Hell started out as a grist mill and general store on the banks of what is now Hell Creek. Reeves’ habit of paying the local farmers with home-distilled whiskey led many farmers‘ wives to comment about their bartering husbands, “He’s gone to Hell again.” The name stuck and Hell became an official town in 1841. Until 2014, Hell held the Guiness World Record for having the largest hearse parade in the world.
(Un)official Hell Wedding Vows: “Hell yes!”
